Oscillating Nonlinear Acoustic Waves in a Mooney–Rivlin Rod

چکیده
Harmonic wave excitation in a semi-infinite incompressible hyperelastic 1D rod with the Mooney–Rivlin equation of state reveals formation and propagation shock fronts arising between faster slower moving parts initially harmonic wave. The observed result collapse being absorbed by parts; hence, to attenuation kinetic elastic strain energy corresponding heat generation. Both geometrically physically nonlinear equations motion are solved explicit Lax–Wendroff numerical tine-integration scheme combined finite element approach for spatial discretization.

Linear and Nonlinear Dust Acoustic Waves in Quantum Dusty Electron-Positron-Ion Plasma
The behavior of linear and nonlinear dust acoustic waves (DAWs) in an unmagnetized plasma including inertialess electrons and positrons, ions, and mobile positive/negative dust grains are studied. Reductive perturbation method is employed for small and finite amplitude DAWs. To investigate the solitary waves, the Korteweg–de Vries (KdV) equation is derived and the solution is presented. B...

متن کاملSecondary dust density waves excited by nonlinear dust acoustic waves
Secondary dust density waves were observed in conjunction with high amplitude ðnd=nd0 > 2Þ dust acoustic waves (DAW) that were spontaneously excited in a dc glow discharge dusty plasma in the moderately coupled, C 1; state. The high amplitude dust acoustic waves produced large dust particle oscillations, displacements, and trapping. Secondary dust density waves were excited in the wave troughs ...
متن کاملOscillating Fluid on a Spinning Rod
Weissenberg observed that when a rod is rotated in a complex fluid, the fluid will climb the rod. When revolutions per time are sufficiently large, climbing ceases and oscillations on the fluid surface begin. Previous studies of this phenomena focus on the regime prior to oscillation; however, this study focuses on understanding these oscillations. By performing a harmonic analysis, wave featur...
